TF201 stock gallery and video player crashes

So I just got my prime, and so far I love it! I'm in the process of customizing, and have ran into a few bugs or glitches so far.

First, I downloaded different hd wallpapers, and when viewing them in the stock gallery program, sometimes (quite often) I get jumbled square boxes in the images, and the gallery will close and return me to my homepage. It mainly does it on higher resolution pics, but once it starts doing it, it will do it on the low res pics too.

Second, the stock video player seems very hit or miss when playing the exact same videos. Sometimes they play flawlessly, sometimes it says cannot play video, and sometimes the backround (homepage) is all pixellated around the playing video. I don't seem to have much better luck with Vplayer either.

Other than that, I've had a few lock ups that I've had to shut down and re start tablet, but nothing too major. I get great WiFi signal which was my main concern. Was just wondering if anyone has any suggestions for the buggy gallery and video player. Is it possible this is a firmware issue that asus will have to send updates for, or is it just my tablet?

I would suggest you to first check if you have latest firmware.
I do have and I didn't notice such problem your report. I even opened 2GB mkv video file in default video player and it worked fine.
Or try to some other video player maybe it will work better for you.
