Root Th3oryRom's White 3xp3ri3nc3

I have been using Th3oryRom [R3]Blurr3d since it was released, presently on version 1.7. Last night I loaded the White 3xp3ri3nc3 mod, and I wanted to start a thread since I havent seen anything about it.

It brings a clear, easy to see blue on white notification status bar among with the much anticipated and oft-requested power toggles on the notification pulldown designated with easily understandable yet decorative icons.

Since I bought and rooted my Bionic I have been yearning for my familiar Cyanogen rom I used for so long in my original DROID. With the maturity and excellence of the rom and the beauty and facility of the mod(s) the developer offers, I don't need it or even miss it anymore.

The th3ory developers have, and continue to produce high quality and low-fault software that I am proud to have donated to, andy encourage the readers who use it but haven't yet to do so to encourage the work they do on our behalf.

Any chance you could throw up some screenshots of your setup? I love 1.7 but to be honest I think it has a little too much black for my tastes. I was perfectly content with 1.4's look. Tempted to flash back, but if theming fixes my issues I'd rather say on the most up to date ROM

I will when I can; it seems not to be working. Not rom-related issue, either website or cockpit error.

I'm actually pretty dumb, didn't bother to look at the link itself in the bionic box, it has it's own screenshots :P

Feel free to posty yours though, I'm still curious :D

I took the screenshot but I couldn't get to to upload to my post. It said it was uploaded but it must be invisible! Never mind...I gmailed it to you.

This is my first time running a custom rom everything is great but I am trying to figure out how to install the red or white experience. Please assist

I use the white, but the instructions are the same. With BionicBix download the zip file for the mod you want. Reboot into recovery and select install zip from sdcard. Find the zip you downloaded. It should be in the download folder on the sdcard-ext. Confirm the selection when prompted. After it is done reboot the phone and you will have it. You may want to do a backup first in case you dont like it. There is no wipe or format necessary. Go for it!

I havn't flashed the colored exerpience mods but the default experience mod for 1.7 + 1.8 says to flash cache/dalvik. I don't know if the white experience is an exception, or if maybe he suggests you wipe and it's not actually necessary. Just passing on some info.

Formatting cache maybe necessary for all I remember. I'm was trying to note that this was applied over the rom rather than instead of the rom. Thanks for the amendment

I have always wiped cache and dalvik cache and never had a problem with the themes. I have been on the white theme for awhile now and just love the look of it.

Can you link to this please? I have grown mentally challenged.

Edit: Mental challenge overcome. Bionic Box. Got it. However, one question before I go all in. Does the white experience just pertain to the status bar or the entire framework (i.e. phone, menu buttons, etc.). Thanks!
