Android Enthusiast
I am a newcomer to Android and unboxed my first Android device (Nexus 7) last Monday. Since then I am on a steep learning curve. In that I received a lot of help by many friendly people on this forum. I like to thank you for that.

My special thanks go to jhawkkw and Rxpert83 who spent a lot of time and dedication to get me rooted. At the end, the problem turned out to be with my desktop PC and when I used another PC it worked flawlessly. I have learned a lot from these exercises too.

Now I can start doing things with my N7. I am sure I will come up with a lot more questions and I trust that the good people of this forum will continue to help me out.

Many thanks in advance and see you around.

Asking questions turns the inexperience into experience. One benefit of owning a popular device is that a lot of experienced android veterans will own it and be able to help. Have fun with your device and if problems arise, don't hesitate to ask.:)

Thank you for the kind invitations to ask questions. I am certain that I will have to take you up on it.

Right now I am so happy that this rooting has worked that I sit back and do some of the basic stuff - learning by doing.

I was once also an inexperienced android user that didn't know how to do things, but buy researching and asking questions I have become a very experienced user. I have been able to help many people on the maxx forum and on other websites and it makes me feel good knowing I am helping someone become better at doing things with android. Soon you will be there also

Thanks for the encouragement. I hope you are right. But at my age (75), the neurons do not churn that fast any more.
