Well what do you want?
If we give then 1 billion in cash, they will open economic trade to the usa that would be worth trillions of dollars. We tax that trade for billions back to us? Are you just going to say that we should spend nothing and force the economy deeper in the whole?
 
Well it's interesting that Egypt is now ran by the muslim brotherhood. Which is know to support terror organisations.

I while I think Donald Trump would make a terrible president he is fiscally very smart. He correctly identified America as the world single largest consumer market. He also pointed out that other countries should pay us to be able to market their products to us. We should not be sending anyone money....
 
He sends money all over the world to some very shady characters. All the while, Texas burns and no federal aid in sight.

I think that's because Obama has beef with Texas, but I don't remember the details? I would appreciate a Texans point of view.

Also Egypt has much more economic problems than a [well run] Libya or Tunisia would have

WEll no different that having yasser arafat visit the white house. PLO was concidered a terrorist group. Funny how one day we call a group terrorists and then the next day we call them a legitimate government. :confused:
 
while having arafat at the WH was truely quite a debacle I would say there definitely IS a difference.... when you have a 'terrorist' leader attend the WH under the premise of brokering a peace accord vs when you are giving a terrorist organiztion $1B..... peace talks vs sponsoring terrorism..... yep I definitely think theres a difference.......... note that if you or I gave a single dollar to the muslim brotherhood we would never see the light of day again after being charged for sponsoring a terrorist organization

They are just Egypts equivalent of the genero Christian Conservative party

Instead of crying about $1 billion in aid to help people, why don't you cry about $10 billion every month burned in Afghaniscam and Iraq?

Or zero taxes on GE's $15 billion profit last year? At the supposed corporate tax rate of 35% that would be $5.25 billion. And keep in mind that GE is just one corporation: two-thirds of US corporations (CitiBank, BoA, Whirlpool, etc.) pay no taxes.

Study your history, we've been funding terrorism for decades both indirectly (i.e. cash for oil to Saudi Sheiks who stay in power by paying off fundamentalists) and directly with "humanitarian aid" to groups like the Taliban (in the hope of getting a gas pipeline deal). And don't forget $1 billion + in "aid" annually to Pakistan. Bin Laden had direct links to the CIA and it is a safe bet that he was funded / armed / trained by the CIA.

We have also funded / influenced and / or directly controlled various authoritarian regimes ranging from Pol Pot to the Shah of Iran (who we installed in a CIA coup in 1953). Before that Iran had a democratically elected parliament and prime minister who we overthrew when the voted to nationalize oil.

Makes you wonder who the real terrorists are ...

If a homeless man ask you for five dollar for some food but he goes and buys a half a gram with it, does that make you a drug abuser?
The donation was made to improve diplomatic relations. It's not a negative act though i do agree with most, money could be better allocated here in the states. But it doesn't make anyone a terrorist. Terrorism has a definitive definition and this act does not fit in anywhere.
