Help The 2.3.20 OTA Update...?

I've scoured forums and seem to see only talk about people receiving the OTA, or using the About Phone\Check for updates to get it, or downloading a custom rooted rom with it.

I have a normal, unrooted D2 and I've not had an OTA, and every single time I try to do the check for updates, here is what happens:

Over wifi:

The checking for updates spinning circle never stops.

Over 3g:

Message Box: "Check for update was not available at this time. Try again later."

I've had this since result the 28th of October.

Am I missing something?

Call Verizon. Maybe they can force the update to your phone, or replace it.

I had the same problem...Don't remember who, but someone on DroidForums said this is what to do and it worked great for me...

Turn WiFi Off
Goto Settings...Data Manager...Data Delivery...Social Applications (Also seen it say Motorola Applications)...sync Over WiFi only....Uncheck this box...

Then back out of settings and do a battery pull (not sure if this is necessary or not, but I did it). When the phone starts back up, try to check for update again (with WiFi off still). I had to try 2 or 3 times after it started back up and it finally found the update.

This resolved my issue. "Social Applications" was labeled "Motorola Applications" on my phone. Booted up, checked for updates, and boom there was the notification. Thanks so much!

found this...checked mine, it's already unchecked....and I can't get the update...this sucks.

any recommendations....I checked it...tried....unchecked it did battery pull, tried..still nothing.

I thought this was a joke but typed it in anyways, it immediately downloaded a new facebook version....lol...but still it won't allow me to update the OS

that's the same error message I've gotten every time.
