I recently experienced a problem with the 3G data connection. And I say recently, because in the past it didn't seemed like this problem existed or I wasnt aware of it.
The phenomenon is like this:
I did reset the phone to factory settings and the problem persisted.
I have at least 2 signal lines when this occurs.
It runs CyanogenMod 10.1.3-RC2 (Android 4.2.2)

The phenomenon is like this:
- I enable the data connection;
- It connects, the indicator shows incoming and outgoing traffic;
- I do my work online, all good;
- Then after a while the app/apps seem to not load any online content;
- I check the signal icon in the status bar and find out that there is no incoming traffic and the 3G icon turns grey with no 3G indicator.
- Then it enables by itself or I disable/enable it by hand and works for a while.
