I have it, not really run it through its paces though, and have no iMessage experience.

I left AM months ago, as I was having issues sending text at night in the house, so I went back to Textra, I did send Google logs and many were having the same issue, but Google is not the quickest to resolve issues as you know. So I have not been back since, but I'm glad you started this thread, so I can follow to see if it is worthy of me giving it another try.

Textra user for many years.
Tried Google messages.
My biggest complaint is that it is not customizable at all.
Going back to Textra for now....
