The apps for Android TV

Most Froyo/Gingerbread apps when displaying on TV, the font size is a bit small. Some video podcast apps do not have an option to play HD version. So we have to find apps which allow text resizing and HD playback.

Twitter app: Seesmic or Twidroyd (both apps allow big text display option)
Vimeo app: Vimeo Mobile (can set it to play HD version of their video catalog)
Google+ and Facebook: the official ones display text size are too small. Friendcaster is a good alternative app for Facebook because it has bigger font option. Still don't have alternative app for Google+
Youtube: the official one is fine (allows you to switch between standard and HQ quality playback)
JetVD Lite: an alternative Youtube player/downloader which can stream upto 1080p quality video
e-mail: K-9 allows big text display
Videoplayback: Moboplayer (support embedded and external subtitles, stream video)
Scheduled recording online radio: Radio RIP or Recordio
Video Podcasts aggregator: iMediashare (work only with wifi on, not wired internet)
Video Podcasts/Internet TV: Geekbeat TV, Revision3, TEDAir, NASA, Whitehouse, CNN

If you are real fan of video/audio podcasts, I highly recommend OnAir Mediafly free app in the market

I'll keep on adding the list....

I'm looking for CNET app which can stream their video in HD quality. All CNET apps, including its official app, I found can stream only low quality videos.

All CNET apps in the market play low quality video.

I have to use CNET HD in iMediashare app to play CNET HD video. Unfortunately, iMediashare will work only when the box connects to internet via wifi, not via wired internet.

I think you need a simple/cheap RF wireless mouse for that. The included remote is not for games.

Great apps are for example:

Spotify - my favorite together with:
Soundhound and
Youtube

official Facebook app
official Twitter app
Terminal Emulator (connecting to remote boxes etc.)
advanced task killer pro
imdb
jamcast (very cool to play music from pc and also supports itunes!)
opera mobile (favorite browser as i don't need flash)
pulse (for quick news reading)

cheers,

I've got few questions - how does the android market looks like on the chinese google tv "clones" based on android 2.3? The content is the same as on the smartphones? Finally, is it possible to run games such as nova or dead space? If so, are they playable "enough"?
