Take Jota + for example and imagine having to translate a screenplay in five days.
The process of translation in a text editor is:
1. Read the original
2. Tap in the translation
3. Erase the original
4. Move on to the next phrase
5. Repeat 1,2,3,4 until
6. Reaching THE END.
7. Back to the top for review and polish

Your best selling Android editor would have me do all that work (especially the forward deletions) with pudgy finger commanded by tired eyeballs moving miniscule handles until the highlighting is "just so"... and I can hit BackSpace?!!

All Android writing programs are singly and collectively so awful, that in order to work at all I had to get an iPad.
But the birdbrain epithet goes to the Apple teams as well. Their merit is only being slightly better than horrible.
Put them all in the same pot, along with Microsoft Lumia. Their products are so bad that even I with the coding talents of a goat can do better...
