360 ROTATING LEATHER CASE SMART COVER for ASUS GOOGLE NEXUS 7 +SCREEN PROTECTOR | eBay

I got this same case, but in purple, and I absolutely love it. It was less than $10 including shipping, and came with all those other items. It looks much more expensive than what I paid for it, and does everything I need it to do. There is no magnet issues here, the sleep/wake function works perfectly. I wouldn't buy a different case even if I had more money. Plus I like how it looks like a journal when closed, so I don't feel so paranoid about people stealing it while I am at school or on the bus. (I live in a bad part of Tucson). I totally recommend this case if you are looking for something affordable that does an above average job of protecting your n7. The stylus works great for me. I have not tried the car charger, but heard it doesn't work, I only take public transportation anyway. The screen protector is the same kind I use on my phones, and the ones I prefer. It takes a little to get it on without bubbles, but works great once you do.

I read a review that said there was an issue with the stand holding up the tablet, apparently the N7 is too top heavy so that it falls over. Anybody have this problem?

I haven't had any issue with the stand working. In fact I fell asleep with it standing on my bed, and I woke up to it still standing.
here is the link to the one I bought. It went up a little in price, but I am happy with it.

Amazon.com: FINTIE (Purple) Leather Folio Stand Case Cover(With Automatic Sleep/Wake Feature) for Google Asus Nexus 7 Inch Android Tablet with Free Screen Protector/Stylus/Cable Tie/USB Cable/Earphone Cord Winder-9 Color Options:Black,Green,Blue,Oran

Edit: Maybe the different colors are slightly different cases? On mine there is a little flap on the back that the front cover slips into to make the stand. You can see it clearly in the picture of the green case. Maybe some colors don't have this, and that is why that person was having problems with it toppling?
I know the purple case works with no problem.

Does anyone like their TPU gel case/protector? I'm thinking about getting it.

Wow! Got the Treegloo case. You get what you pay for. Or i should say, you get what you ask for for your birthday. Quality is excellent. Nexus feels secure. I've got big gorilla hands so added bulk is of no concern for me. I'll get some pics once I get a chance.

After dropping my first N7 on the corner and breaking the screen I'd strongly recommend a case with at least some corner protection. The case I had when mine broke was from ebay and had no corner protection at all. Wide open on the corners.

I just got this Moko case from Amazon: Amazon.com: MoKo(TM) Slim-fit Cover Case for Google Nexus 7 Android Tablet by Asus, Black (with Automatic Sleep/Wake Function, Protective Hardback, Built-in Multi-angle Stand, Elastic Hand Strap, and Stylus Loop)--Lifetime Warranty: Computers & Acces
I'm not necessarily endorsing the Moko case and I'm not 100% happy with it but it does have corner protection. After luckily selling my broken N7 on ebay for $111.00 (that's a $160.00 loss!) I've learned my lesson. Between two N7's and all the cases and misc other goodies I've spent over $600.00 on N7's.

Corner protection and not being a klutz like me might save you a lot of money.

Thanks danaj! It was a hard choice but in the end I chose to get the Blurex case.

Amazon.com: Blurex Ultra-Slim Case for Google Nexus 7 inch Tablet -- With built in Multi-Angle Stand: Computers & Accessories

Same as the moko case, except I heard a lot of good things about the Blurex brand. Also chose this over the FINTIE for the corner protection, though not sure how much of a difference in protection that will make. I

In the meantime until you post your pics, here is a pic .

That looks like a good one. I was just concerned about the open sides though, so that is why I chose the Finite case. The Blurex one does look pretty sharp though.

WOW! That Treegloo case looks perfect for drop protection! I wish I had seen it before buying the Moko! I'm way too broke to buy a new case as they come out every week so will have to wait a while and be super careful. ;)

I'm using the ASUS cover, and I know alot of people are doggin it...But its perfect for me and adds that little extra protection I was looking for. Ordered it from GameStop, because the Play Store has been sold out of them.

Is this one new? The ad says it's made by ASUS and I'm not seeing anyone else talking about it.

ASUS GOOGLE NEXUS 7 360 ROTATING LEATHER CASE SMART COVER + SCREEN PROTECTOR

Got this one. I like it, but I have a few issues. I don't think it's made by ASUS. Inside the shipping sleeve the case came wrapped in clear plastic. Nothing on the package or the product says ASUS. Second, the image in the ad shows what looks like an elastic band that holds the cover closed. It's not there and it needs it. Third, the included screen protector came damaged and is unusable.

But even with those negatives, I like it. I wouldn't have used the screen protector anyway. It's already got one made of leather. It fits well and the swivel mechanism works as advertised.

I have the following two cases (one i bought, another was a bday gift):

FINTIE PU Leather Folio:
Amazon.com: FINTIE (Purple) Leather Folio Stand Case Cover(With Automatic Sleep/Wake Feature) for Google Asus Nexus 7 Inch Android Tablet with Free Screen Protector/Stylus/Cable Tie/USB Cable/Earphone Cord Winder-9 Color Options:Black,Green,Blue,Oran

MiniSuit 360 Rotating PU Leather Case
Amazon.com: MiniSuit 360 Rotating PU Leather Slim Case, Smart Cover, + Stand for Google Nexus 7 Tablet (Black): Electronics

The FINTIE, I like because of the size and weight. it's still very light and easy to carry around. It also has a magnetic flap so it stays shut when closed without a band, so less hassle.

The Minisuit is a heavier, since it's a two-piece design. It's nice being able to detach the nexus from the flaps when you want to hold it while playing games without worrying about the flap getting in the way (though often times I'll just take it out of the case when I'm at home). One issue with the case I got was that the stylus holder is too small to fit a stylus. I end up just putting the metal clip through the hoop rather than the actual stylus. It's kinda loose, but it works. The case is stiffer than the FINITIE, which makes me feel a little more secure while carrying it around, should I drop it.

Overall, I find myself using the minisuit case, due to the multi-angle stand feature. Being able to choose the precise angle you want to view at, in either portrait or landscape, is quite useful. The case has 3 grooves for different angles, but in portrait mode, it doesn't stay up at the tallest groove, it just falls over. The other two grooves work just fine though. The added heft is definitely worth the function for me. I'll use the fintie occasionally when I want to carry around something lighter, but that's it.

Hope this helps! =)
