The deal with JB for the Note

gorddev

Lurker
Hi, Maybe this is a really obvious question, but...
I've got a Bell SGH-I717M. I want a version of JB without bloatware. Why doesn't somebody leak the version of JB made by Samsung for the Note that was distributed to all carriers? You would think that this non-carrier specific version would be the one the majority of users would want...Why are people saying that the current xda build is buggy and we should wait for an ODIN installer to be ready. Aren't these devs working off the version of JB for the Note that Samsung released to the carriers? How could it be buggy if it was purpose built for the Note by Samsung?
Just wondering (and waiting)

Can't speak at all to why the Samsung JB/TouchWiz has not been leaked but you can always install CyanogenMod 10 if you just want to install Jelly Bean now. Be aware though that on a scale of stability I would give it a 7 out of 10. You can use it as a daily driver but you will occasionally get some random reboots. And be aware that you lose all S-Pen functionality. You can check the "All things root" section of the forum for more info.
