The end is near. Maybe.

You know how many predictions there has been regarding the end of existence? Too many thats how many... There was 2 of them last year even, a lot of people quit their jobs and gave some guy all their money so everyone could be warned. After the world continued existing everyone was SOL because they gave up everything for nothing. Then the guy said he was off on his calculation and that it was actually in October not May.. Guess what he was wrong again. That same man made predictions of the end of the world in the 90s too... And his reason for being wrong.. Wrong calculation..

I know I have seen some documentary where were interviewing living Myans (yes they are still around) and they even said the calendar didn't mean the end of the world, it meant the start of a new beginning. There also is (or at least was) a page on NASA's website dedicated to telling people that there wasn't any evidence to say the world would end.. They even said the world is just as likely to end any other day as it is the 21st of December.

Believe what you want, but I do not think that anyone will be able to predict the end. The end will come when no one is expecting it, with out warning. If I would have believed in the end being in 2012, I would not have gone to college, I would not have even looked for a job..

Theres my view on the whole thing haha


Side note to think about... The Myan calendar was created around 3372BC .. Leap year was introduced in around 45BC... so if you go back, you will see that Dec 21st 2012 would have already happened and we would be in the year 2013.
 
Inb4...December 21st, Food stores backed with people frantically buying bottled water and canned foods to prepare for there post apocalyptic life style.

I can't wait to play Fallout 3: REAL LIFE, i hear it has 3D Rad roaches!
 
From my understanding of Astronomy, the world will end in 5 billion years when the sun becomes a red giant and engulfs the earth. The end is far.
 
when gamma rays wash over the earth.. killing every living thing in a few seconds.

which can happen at any time.

One question though, what would happen to the vampires? Since your undead would you be affected or would it be a world of big green hulks smacking down the vampires who try to feed on them? Interesting dilemma...

Okay, I’ll bet you 10K that the world will not end on Dec 21 2012. If I win, pay up. If I lose, good luck finding me. I’d bet more but that’s all I can put on the barrelhead.
 
I wonder if all of this "end of the world" crap is a modern invention or an older one. It seems more and more people see it is a reason to give up on life and live in some kind of fantasy world. Every time something like this happens it creates such an availability problem in the firearms market. :mad:

It's nothing new, dates back as far as man has been around and capable of independent thought and a modicum of intelligence. There are historical records of apocalyptic predictions from almost every major civilization for thousands of years.
 
The End of Days would be the series finale' of Supernatural, or even worse the day Doctor Who is dying and can no longer regenerate. :ahhhhh:
