The Guys At My Shop Are Amazing Cooks

So, there are two guys- the manager and his right hand man- that are unbelievable cooks.

Calling them cooks is an insult.
I would call them chefs, even though they have not been through such schooling.

There are so many examples, such as a smoked pepper sauce made from 22 kinds of hot pepper- from ghost pepper on down- where all the vegetable ingrediants are grown right in the backyard.

Recently I missed out bigtime.
On my day off, one of the guys made (now get this...)

A bacon wrapped, jalapeño, cheese stuffed, smoked meatloaf.

Although I did try sashimi for the first time on Friday- per my manager's recommendation- and I don't think that bacon or whipped cream would go with raw fish.

Then again...
for the first time? i love sashimi. Costco sells a fish called opah and it was so delicious as sashimi. i made a sashimi salad with it using a soy sauce, lemon and sriracha dressing over a bed of shredded napa cabage.......so good!!!!!

Well, RAW FISH.
There is a yuck factor to that.
But because my boss is who he is and how he is, I tried it.

The only thing I did not like was seaweed wrap.
Geez, who would think that the only thing that tasted fishy about eating raw fish was the nasty seaweed.

That seaweed was like a can of sardines that came out of a metal mailbox on a hot summer day.

The rest was great.
