I've used Sony Ericsson's OS for the past 10 years and I loved the alarm clock it has. Now I have the Samsung Galaxy SII with Android and I can't seem to find an alarm clock that does the same as the one that comes with SE.
I need an alarm clock that turns the phone on, plays the alarm for a few minutes (or until it is shut off) then turns the phone off. I've installed more than 30 alarm clocks downloaded from Android Market but can't find one that will work with the phone turned off. It's ridiculous that you have to leave the phone on in order for the alarm to play!
Imagine that you are on the road and your charger was lost somewhere along the way. You have to use your phone's battery as little as possible or you'll end up with no phone during the remaining of your trip.
SE's alarm clock also allows you to select any photo and add text to each added alarm. This is how it works:
You create a new alarm, if you wish you can select a photo to be displayed when the alarm plays, you can select a different photo for each alarm added. You can also select a different ringtone for each alarm. And you can add text that tells you what that alarm is all about. For instance, the text function is perfect for reminding you of different medicine you need to take in different hours during the day.
When you go to sleep you turn your phone off so you won't be disturbed by anyone while you rest and won't waste your phone's battery. When it comes the time for the alarm to play it turns on the phone, plays itself for 5 minutes (you determine how many minutes it should keep playing) and then it turns the phone off again.
This is what I am looking for. It's quite simple yet I haven't managed to find an alarm clock that does this on Android.
Can anyone help me out here? Is there an alarm clock like the one you find on Sony Ericsson's OS?
