The Impossible Has Happened

Not as much of an exaggeration as you'd think...

Because of their ABYSMAL service, I've canceled my AT&T account FOUR times since I've bought my iPhone only to return within a week because I couldn't live without the gadget...I've tried multiple iterations of Blackberries, and an Android before, but I've always found myself going back to the iPhone. Nothing could compare to it's ability to make my mobile life easier.

But now I'm happy to report that I've officially cut the ties for the last time :) Thank you Droid! And so long AT&T...I'm going to relish every second that you're further from my life.

Four...

I got zero bars at work with AT&T...and by zero, I mean not a single bar...whereas Verizon/Tmobile/Sprint/Cricket/Boost all have 4-5.

Were you under contract? I mean, did you get early termination fees at all?

No fees if you come back within 30 days...so not until now since I'm keeping my Droid.

I have my wife and myself on a Family plan. AT&T early termination fee's for us are $250...I called and argued a bit until they agreed to cut it in half. So it'll end up being $125...not bad considering I now have a cell phone that works as a cell phone.

I just did the same, thank you droid :). at&t would keep asking why do you keep leaving only to come back a few days later. Now i have a phone i love and great service!

Glad it worked out for you. $125 is not that much to spend to get rid of s**t service, at least now you have a phone you can use anywhere. I had the same problem with Sprint, 77% dropped calls and lousy customer service in my local store did not help matters.

Right there with you. I went from iPhone 1 to Sprint for the HTC Touch and then back to iPhone. Then back to Sprint for Instinct and then back to iPhone. Then the iPhone 3G to Sprint for the Touch Diamond and then back to iPhone 3G and then bought a Touch Pro unlocked and used iPhone 3G sim and then back to iPhone 3G. Then to iPhone 3GS to Sprint Hero and that was when I knew I would finally be done with the limits of the iPhone because I really liked Android but I returned the Hero when I found out about Droid. Somewhere in the middle there I also bought a G1 and had on T-Mobile for a couple of months.

Man do I waste a lot of money. Luckily my wife puts up with all of this.

so basically you are free of ATT now!

Congrats!!!!!! And let the cell provider with the best backhaul prevail, as verizon was his name, and unto you all let the best network.

How is it possible that you were somewhere where AT&T had no coverage, but Tmobile did?

thats cool, iphone is addictin, but this phone does a great job! i have had 3 other smart phones, bb pearl, bb 8830 and htc mogul ppc 6800 haha, weird name. all are beaten by this phone easily! droid rocks!

With all this talk, all I can think about is that Verizon Droid commercial, with the christmas elves... when the Iphone comes down the conveyor....
