Help the internet works but i cant make calls ?

I have sony Ericsson xperia arc
I have lost my phone and suddenly called my phone provider to block the handset and three days later i have found it under near my desk office so stupid of me so I rang up and asked them to unblock it and they did, somehow the phone connects to internet but won't make calls at all the provide said its something wrong with the handset's os and i have even checked up the website for imei check and they said its unblocked and its working fine,

is it possible i can completely wipe the data of the phone ? i have tried hard reset so many times diffrent method still will not call it says call end before even connecting and when i open browser google works perfectly

whats wrong ? and how can i fix it thanks

That is odd as I would almost certainly say that this is an error on the part of the network based around the blocking of the handset. You can wipe the phone by running a software update using the link below, however I would either try another SIM in the phone or that SIM in another phone to confirm before going ahead with this:

i tried that method it did not work it connects to the internet but does not make calls

Did you try the other steps such as swapping SIM's?

I suggest you to root your phone. But I am not sure if it works.

I did the root and still the same and i have tried other sims still the same
