thats is not how you unlock bootloader

4. Once you have the terminal or command line open run the command "adb devices" to make sure your devices is detected by adb. You may get a toast pop up on your device asking if you to "Allow usb debugging". Except this as this is the RSA key you need to allow your computer to communicate with your device via adb. You should see something like "LGH631dffacad9 device" in your terminal or command line. If you see "unauthorized" instead of "device" you have not excepted the RSA key.

5.Now type the following command in your terminal or command line. Type "adb reboot bootloader". This will reboot your device to fastboot mode. Once in fastboot mode use the "fastboot devices" to make sure your device is recognized by fastboot. You should see something like "dffacad9 fastboot". If you are in Linux and get a error message you may have to use "sudo fastboot devices" for fastboot to work. (If you are using Windows and are having trouble with fastboot recognizing your device you need to install the device drivers using. If it still does not work install the drivers again with your device connected to your computer in fastboot mode.)

6. To fully unlock your bootloader you have to use the command "fastboot oem unlock". You have to do this or this root method will not work. But be warned that if you do use this command it will factory reset your device. Plus you will get a line of text saying the bootloader is unlocked on the splash screen when you boot your device.

its not always released all at the same time
the thing is that i already received it a few days ago while i was on katana...do i have to wait another round or whatever for it to get back to me? its been almost 12 hours since i kdz'd back to stock and still nothing

After flashing back to stock metro from t mobile M
i had manually set time to 11p.m. and waited..rebooted....reset time...set time to midnight...back to 11...i was hunting
Them it started saying it was downloading...had to go through that for a few times of stopping n starting....
But like with getting the T-Mobile to update...it only drops between 11pm n 4a.m....
Real nice..smooth....
Used kingo to root it n flash twrp...then flashed su up date zip....
Enjoying it...don't really need to flash Dolby or viper...
I'll stick with simple for a few..
EVERYTHING WORKS!!!
except some confirmations are blank
Free g4 tweaks box..
...and the hunt and tap quest to wake it is only half as vague now.
Still not into the swypesque lg keyboards ability to teach me new words when i just want a four letter word..
Might go back to using Swype

Have you tried putting time back to normal (use network settings)?

Power off phone.

Pull battery out.

Put battery back in.

Turn phone on.

You need to go back and see if the Reboot and Install button is there in the update notification.

If nothing is there, you may need to wait a bit and don't turn the phone off or interrupt. I made that mistake Friday night and it was still downloading. It's weird because you cannot see the status of the downloading.

yeah i did put the phone back to normal settings and i rebooted, but i never pulled the battery..the thing is im not seeing the notification at all. i saw it when i was on katana, but now that i am stock, when i go to the update center and check for an update, it just tells me i am up to date

People having problems with ADB UNLOCKING THE BOOTLOADER
Download the app extract it to your main drive that has your operating system which most of the time is C:drive
Run the program double click you do not have to run it in with as Administrator follow the directions carfully. Make sure you have enabled developer options and have oem unlocked checked also debugging mode. Also the correct and latest drivers installed.

Thanks Viper.....A user in XDA did a de-bloated T-Mobile MM "stock" ROM but I'm not sure if it is working. Still a long process even with the zip file.

At least someone is trying....Seems like no active devs for a custom ROM for this phone.
It works for me I've been using it for the past 2 weeks no problems so far

Oh yeah? The one called "Skinny" debloated ROM? (Tmobile Marshmallow).

Does it have video calling and advanced text messaging?
Yep the t-mobile version I do have tmobile varent(sorry)It dose have the video calling(haven't tested it) but I don't think it has the advanced text messaging.
