Trend out to be the night that android forums was down for maintenance. So I couldn't downgrade, and the issue I ran into was trying to open the port through device manager. My friend has Windows 7 premium. I tried googling the issue but couldn't find a fix for it. I had the dll file and tot file, everything worked fine until flash tool said "ready" and I was supposed to unplug and reinsert the phone, but then nothing happened past that

Sounds like the phone is on the wrong port number.

Go to device manager on your computer

Scroll down and expand the Ports section

Right click on AndroidNet Usb Serial Port and select Properties

Click Port Setup tab and then Advanced button

At bottom drop down box beside Com Port Number and select Port 41

Click ok and close out all the popup Windows.

Try the process again and see if that doesn't fix it.
