The Phablet of my dreams!

I am a phablet fanatic, I have always dreamed of a 7-inch Android phablet that is not too small for a tablet yet not too big for a phone with high specs, narrow bezels and decent camera. Looks like Huawei has fulfilled my dream. This would be my first device from Huawei (and from a Chinese company). Lets wait and see when this little fella released and reviewed by the experts.

I'm also looking forward to getting my hands on this device.

Oh man just take a look at the device's specs, it's fabulous, strong, yet lighter than a feather and thinner than a silk line. I had only one wish though, I wish if Samsung had manufactured it as I'm not a huge fan of Huawei and Chinese products in general, you know, for the bad reputation they have. But as I said before, lets wait and see what the experts say about this exceptional device.

Hi.
Just joined androidforums to discuss the above; no NFC? for real??

Maybe NFC will eventually be implemented at launch, OR as an upgrade to follow, i don't know. Do you guys? Is it a realistic hope?

Through 2014 NFC will be rolled out as a shop payment technology here in Denmark, and i really would NOT like to be left out this up-and-coming possibility.

In every other aspect, X1 really fulfills my every demand for a smart device that embodies a huge screen in the smallest possible volume(missing OIS though). Cudos, Huawei, for targeting my screen-savvy user segment.

For my part, i prioritate the camera- and internet funtionality(+ NFC payment) over the phone functionality, so i might just sacrifice screen estate and go for SG Note 3/4 WITH the NFC.

So will NFC eventually come to X1, you think? Please share your thoughts.

Thanks
Peter

but as the TalkBand supports NFC one would expect the X1 to match that- not?

The X1 does not support NFC but the TalkBand does. The TalkBand does its job as a contactless payment gadget via NFC on its own but it syncs the required data with your phablet via Bluetooth.
