A New England TV staple it's a show that visits restaurants and highlights their best dishes.
Is it a only in New England thing or does this happen around the world?
Restaurant shows I mean.

I watched a couple of episodes of Diners Drive-ins and Dives (i think that is the name) The host drives around the country trying to eat everyone's monster burger. The BBQ Pitmasters show comes to mind as well. I've watched a couple of their cook offs. I'm sure there are more. I don't watch much beyond sports.

yeah its not just a new england thing other then the regional restaurants. triple D is always a good show for that. you also had regional world shows like No Reservations. there are some great youtube shows as well that i subscribe to. my favorite youtube show is the buzzfeed show "Worth It". they take a type or style of food and find restaurants that offer it in 3 different price points and see which one was worth it for the price.
