The Room: Old Sins

I really enjoyed the first 2, but was slightly underwhelmed by the 3rd. However, I have a few quid in credit thanks to Opinion Rewards which I'll be using towards this when it's released.

I'm a huge fan of the series, so I registered. Unless they do something stupid with the pricing, I'll buy it.

I got the notification to purchase, but I get an error when I hit "buy." BTW, $4.99 USD is the cost.

Oh no!!! It let me buy it then it started installing.

Got this about half way through the install...

I didn't even get a notiginotifi that it was available yet. I only checked because you said something. According to fireproof, the release date is the 19th... Seems odd that I got half way through the install.

Haha, I've already beat the house of da Vinci! That was a great game as well.

I finished up old Sins today. I thought it was a really good game. I like how the puzzles have you running between rooms and you don't just clear one room at a time, in sequence.

Old Sins was good return for the series, I do prefer it to the 3rd installment. Would have got a sub 4 hours on completion if was not for the damn dragons not slipping into place and sending me off on a random search for nothing!! o_O:D

Although after playing The House of Divci, the room series seem quite simple. That game blew me away, bloody hard in places and looks as good and plays as well as The Room. Looking forward to it's sequel.

Nice, I think I did it in about 4:10 but I didn't screenshot it. I think the end hung me up the most. Got stuck a couple times. I think there were a lot of good puzzles to solve in this one.

The end was fine for me, worked it out quickly enough. Glad we finally
got to see and hold the Null at last!! It was a shame they didn't do more fmv scenes like the end!
I think the odd one of them would have made it a bit more interesting to play.

For me my favourite type of puzzle in these games are items that act like Chinese puzzle boxes. Button here, switch there, push here, slide that, poke that.. :D:p

Oh, there should be a spoiler tag in the above post. It's present if I edit the post, but cannot see it in the post itself.

I finished in just over 2 hours. I thought it was good, but the animation was a little tiring entering and exiting the rooms, especially as many times as you had to go back and forth.

I agree with that, seemed pointless to me. Especially on the garden area, why force you to go through the gates?? :p
