Help the safety of my recovery

Hi everybody
Im new to this, but i want to know if flashing cyangenmod will erase my internal memory? Because my cwm recovery is stored there and im afraid it will be erased after flashing the new rom

You mean your nandroid backup is there?
Just copy your internal memory to pc or sd card.
Your backup is in a folder called clockworkmod

I copied my cwm recovery folder to pc
But If something went wrong during cyangenmod flashing, how do i restore the backup from pc to the phone?
