The smallest screen size

I am working on my very small game app and I want it to run everywhere. Besides, I am just curious: what is the smallest screen you have ever encountered that runs android?

IIRC, around 3.2". Of course that's going WAY back.

My HTC Droid Eris has a 3.2" screen.

Still have it...still runs great...:)

Not sure if your app would run on it since it's still running 2.1 unless your app is backwards compatible for that version of Android.

OP, lemme know if you want/need me to test--I'm not much of a gamer but willing to help out if you need.

Cheers!

There's plenty of budget phones being sold with that size screen, sometimes 3.5 as well. There's resolution(DPI) as well of course, like a high-end Samsung might have a much higher resolution than a budget phone with same screen size. These are usually cheap Chinese phones, but then manufacturers like Samsung do budget phones like this as well, like the current 3 inch Galaxy Y(S5360), resolution 320x240. Think 3 inch is about the smallest you're going to find in current phones. Probably won't find phones like this from US carriers, but I see the OP is Moscow/Jerusalem, so there's a good chance many will be using small screened budget phones, and the OP did say "I want it to run everywhere". :thumb: ...the largest phone I know of that's generally available where I am is the 8 inch Samsung Galaxy Mega, larger than some tablets, but officially it's still sold as a phone.

The HTC ChaCha had a 2.6 inch screen with Android 2.3.

There are some Android 4.0 phones with only a 3.0 inch screen:
Samsung Galaxy Star
LG Optimus L1 II
Samsung Galaxy Chat
Samsung Galaxy Pocket Neo

OT: The Galaxy Chat is interesting, because it has a physical QWERTY keyboard without having to slide or flip.

Thank you everyone, I didn't know there are plenty of modern devices with such a small screen sizes. Scary alien, I hope my dev platform (OpenFL) supports this version (it's proved to support 2.3, but I don't know about 2.1), anyway, I'll accept your invitation to find out if it does :)
