The Tablet Tavern

Are you supposed to hold an 8" tab to your face to make a call? That would look silly.

Its days like today that makes you wonder your capability to look after a child. I spent most of today around young baby's and children and while I can say it was fun and they amused me , I am now even more tired than after work on Friday. And that's only after 1 day id hate to imagine 18 years

Hi All,

As a result of a death in the family, I opened a box with a new d2 pad internet tablet. It was working fine, had to charge it first, then connected to the internet, etc.

Once I connected to my AOL account it started to download emails. I have over 5000 emails in this account.

Then it went blank. Shows nothing, no indication of any sign of life.

Pushed reset button, nothing.

It is warn by the USB input where the power is supplied.

I'm not framiliar with your tab but try access the boot loader vol down and power at the same time mist likely. Do this while its plugged In just in case its got no battery left.

It probably is dead, permanently. The D2 is not a good device. Your best course of action would be to return it for a refund or replacement.

Hey, Mike. Actually, my day just got easier. I was supposed to take a friend to a Dr appt, and I have work (I work from home) and housework that got neglected over the weekend. But my friend has an awesome neighbor hat offered to take her.... So now I actually have time to do my work :-)

A journey of 1,000 miles begins with a single step.

Unless it's by plane, then it begins with standing in line with your shoes off. ;)

Always got crazy looks when flying abroad if I took my shoes off at security. In Mexico, they just said "We don't do that here".
At least I'm glad they're getting rid of those stupid full body scanners. Don't care about my privacy, but it just takes longer.

I only went through the full body scan once (in Florida). It was no more a pain that the regular scan. It was most likely a pork barrel deal made by a congressman and his fraternity brother who coincidentally makes the machines. It has nothing to do with safety and security.

What they really need is decent restaurants in airports, not just the franchise fast food or prepackaged food stands.
