The Tablet Tavern

How stupid is this... I have never had my picture as my avatar and now I am having second thoughts. Ridiculous!

It's all up to you!
I've no problem posting my mug shot around the web. I know plenty of folks don't like it. I'd rather tease people with delicious food as my avi. ;):D

Dread, that happened to me once. It is much easier the second time around ;) I know it stinks, but at least once it's done, you don't have to worry about it for a year.

Are you saving the files to an odd location, Dread? I've found with most accounting type software simple paths with no odd folder names is the best.

Shellie ... check your PM's ;)

Glad you were able to get it done. Tempting us with your avatar once again, huh? We can't get those around here. Dunkin Donuts, grocery store and that's about it. I miss good bakery ones.

This photo is actually from Pierre Herme in Paris. We went there while we were on vacation but just got macarons. I love a great croissant. Every bakery I go to I try em. They're super tricky to make WELL, and most are just mediocre. I'm a complete snob about em. :)

I have the perfect recipe for croissant ... step 1, fly to Paris ... the rest are just details. ;)

It takes about the same time but it can't beat the costs of driving (if with two people) i guess. Plus you need to make reservations for the Thalys.
And I love driving :D

My wife lived in Paris for a year for college. She loved it and everytime we look to travel to Europe, Paris is always on the top of the list. :)
I really enjoyed the city for the few days I spent there. Not sure I'd want to move there, but it's a great place to visit.

So on my last trip to Paris I was able to get a car ride home from Conflans. We cam to the rotary (roundabout) at the Arc de Triumph and there was a sofa in the center (innermost) lane, a man in a tuxedo with a top hat and a cigarette in one of those long holder thing in one hand and a glass of champagne in the other. The sofa was surrounded by woman in gold bejeweled one piece bathing suits all holding champagne glasses as well. The second inside lane was occupied a camera crew aggressively snapping photos.

No mind you, this is during rush hour traffic and the rotary is not closed. Turns out it was an advertisement shoot for a furniture company (I'm not sure if it was a manufacturer or retailer). I just found that funny as hell.
