Why have I found a used train ticket in my jacket pocket? Bristol to London return, 12th November, 2010.

Why did you make them sing that? Lol

Because People's Education Press, New Senior English for China textbook says that they must learn about Canada "The True North.". They all have to learn about Anne Frank next week, and I've not taught that one yet. Not too sure how to approach that subject yet.

Good afternoon TJ... how's tricks?

Possibly.....what do you know about Holland?

...anyway... I'm looking at the textbook now, It's called "Friendship" and it's mostly about Anne Frank's diary, and why she kept a diary, along with some basics about Amsterdam.

Think the Chinese and Mongolian students know a little bit about the Netherlands. Most of them seem to know PSV, as they know Man United and Real Madrid, I've even seen them wearing PSV shirts...LOL Also Philips is a very popular brand in China. So I have a couple of starting points at least.

As the foreign teacher, my job is really to expand on the subject, and to give the students information that's not in the textbook but is still relevant to the subject.

Edit: jk of course!

PSV is based in the hometown club of Philips: Eindhoven. Philips recently announced it will be focusing on medical instruments only.

There is a Anne Frank museum in Amsterdam.

Furthermore it might be interesting to note that half of the Netherlands is below sealevel. Our polder are former sea and protected by the Afsluitdijk, dikes, dunes and the Deltawerken. Behind these coastal lines mills and modern pumps keep our feet dry.

There's so much to tell. Just pm me your questions. I can help.

I need to upload the video of me and the beagle in the snow. It was up to my waist. She dove through like a dolphin, jumped out, then back under the snow.

HR from deutsche knowledge services (of deutsche bank if anyone is familiar) followed up again....wonder if I should schedule an interview or something

We don't have Deutsche Bank around here....we got Bank of China and Bank of Inner Mongolia though....and my house-mate works at Bank of Communications.....while I like to sit and relax on the river bank
