The Tablet Tavern

I've been with this company for almost 4 years. And the reasons I'm there for so long are because it was laid back and management was easy to work with.

But now since all of that has changed for the worse, I need to move on.

It'll pay well once you're a doc:p

Not true. Once I pass the boards, pay sucks (anywhere between 15-25k depending on the hospital that gives the residency) for another 3-6 years, before I get to be a specialist. Even then I can't charge much because I'm "new". Earning 15k a month at 28yo isn't paying well. :)

I'll consider the US but meh, it's not me. Lol. Besides the taxpayers paid for my college so might as well give something back (product of UP). Haha!

Life passing you by... Yup, I identify. I'm not my *cough cough* mid thirties and let me tell you about boring jobs. I type for a living. Literally. My boss sends me an audio. I type it. I send it back. She sends another. And so on. But at least I can be home for the kids when they get off the bus

Is Tebow going to make a special appearance? :vroam:

No, but he is definitely welcome here in Gainesville :)

So what is everyone's weekend plans? :D

Gator Growl tonight, Gator Game Saturday

Unfortunately, Veterans Day is just another day, according to my job. :(

That sucks. Far too many businesses are like that.

Customer Service at a call center. And TJ says his occupation is boring. :/

I have seen some of those places. Cingular (now AT&T and really always was) has one in Ocala, FL. It was one big "Dilbert cubicle zone" I straightened out their Access control system, and from then on they would only let me service it when they called ADT for service.

It was rather funny that even though their business was cellular service, employees weren't allowed to use cellphones in the building.
