The Tablet Tavern

Wow, I will just get a GIANT thurmas and pour a pot of coffee in it in the morning. Then, it's free.

That's what I do for work ... bring my own coffee in a thermos, but I still have to make it at home which involves grinding the beans fresh and brewing to exacting standards. While it's better than Starbucks swill, it ain't free. ;)

I had their fresh hops beer. As fresh as you can get right out of the vat into my growler.

Fresh Hop is quite amazing. But, you really need to get it right upon release. Even a week or two later, it's diminishing returns.
Sam Adams Imperial Pilsner (the first version, only in bombers) is still one of my absolute favorites. Was able to try some Pliny the Younger that was flown from CA to DC overnight from the brewery, and it blew my mind. Love hoppy beers. :)

Anyone know if a growler counts as one or two beers?

I don't know what a growler is, but I figure if it comes in a single bottle / glass it is one beer. I don't care if it is 12/ 24 / 32 / 64/ 128 ounces, if it's in one serving container, it's one beer.;)

For once I agree with the mods.

A growler is 64oz, normally glass but stainless steel is becoming common, that you fill at a brew pub or brewery that you can take home. A good sealed growler will last about a week before going bad but once opened you have about 24 hours to finish it.

Chinese Androids strike again. It's supposed to work, but it doesn't, and one very frustrated young lady in the office here.
