The Tablet Tavern

Sent my coworker home, he was pretty sick. Tuesday is a pretty chill day so I'm good solo.
To Wendy, I started at a traditional University and decided it wasn't for me as food is my passion. Finding something you love and making a career out of it isn't the easiest though.

Yeah, I saw it. It's a powerful message and I'm sure it will be effective. I'm bored by it, actually. It's the same old Apple marketing trying to make everyone feel special by all doing the same thing.

I have no doubt that there are many people using iPhones for creative purposes, but I am so tired of hearing that Apple is for "creatives". It's like saying DeWalt is for carpenters or Ryobi is for plumbers. At the end of the day, if the job gets done, the tools are only relevant to the user.

How many people run out ant buy a Strat to become the next Jimi Hendrix? How many make it?

Every time I use Google Wallet to pay for something and people ask, "Can my iPhone do that?" Or when they see me using my wireless changer, "Can my iPhone do that?"

I remember when Apple was something only weirdos used? The iPod saved them. But I digress, Apple is only second to the Marines in advertising. Another side note: Marine ads are used as economic indicators. The ads that show how tough it is means the economy is doing well and they need less recruits.

Don't they spend a lot of money on Advertising? Like that premium price pays for that advertising.

I don't buy Apple products anyway. Probably never will.
 
Wow, Windows 8 takes some serious getting used to. Used the new laptop for like 5 minutes and then quickly went back to the old one. :o
It's nice, but I couldn't figure out how to speed up scrolling in Chrome. :confused:
I couldn't find a Control Panel where I figure the setting would be (perhaps it's because I'm not logged in as Admin?).

Actually the premium price for Apple products in China, I'm sure is more to maintain the illusion of cachet, prestige and exclusivity, just like Gucci.

Nor do I, not in this country. I use an Apple product though, a Macbook, that was given to me. :)

Macbooks are too expensive for me. But if it was a gift.. That would be different.
 
I have used Apple products but would never buy them. I find all of their products over priced. Apple has to fund their lawsuit happy lawyers somehow... :p
 
I don't understand why the chrome browser on my windows laptop can't play mp4 movies, but the chrome browser on my sister's macbook air can :/
