We had a few if those days here as well. Were there is just enough snow that it covers everywhere lightly but not enough to stop transport systems. Just how I like it.

What car is it your planning in getting?
I'm hoping for some snow tonight as its always a welcome sight in the morning.

Subaru Impreza hatchback. What's making it so difficult is that I want a stick shift, and there's so few of them. Every time we find one, it gets sold before we can do anything about it. My salesman has been trying since Friday last week to secure one.

That used to be my dream car. But sadly just a dream it ended up being. I nearly ended IP buying one before but I realised I had to start being smart with money.
Also do most people drive automatics in the us? Love how you call it a stick instead if gears. :D

Yeah, Americans are lazy :p. I'd venture a guess that not even 50 percent even know how to drive a stick, let alone own one. They're more than willing to pay the 1000 dollars or so to make it automatic. Though milage advantage between the two is shrinking dramatically.

I wish. You can barely find a stick around here any more (I learned on one and enjoy driving them better). Also, the price difference and mileage are now negligible (i.e. $100-$300, 1-2 MPG). Now, I wish us Americans were more accepting of diesel motors, you got a point there.

Yeah, some of Volkswagen tdi cars gets some real nice mileage. Too bad they don't have awd on the jetta or passat.

Mike, not sure if you ever have watched The Daily Show, but he did a great bit last night about the smog in China. Good stuff. You can catch it here:
