The Tablet Tavern

We don't have a car and town is 40 mins away on the bus. It'd mean we'd be back quite late if we went in the week and we've been mega busy each weekend... sort of a tradition to go on Christmas eve too :)

Aye the cinema is a couple of miles away too. I've got a push bike so when we go places Mrs Presidente normally has to sit on my handlebars. If we use her BMX, I just stand on the stunt pegs.

I've a bike, but it's 15 miles to Sheffield and Yorkshire's not the flattest of places ;)

Couldn't imagine Mrs D being too happy sitting on my handlebars either :D

That's one of those things I don't think I could get used to. We have two cars, and I am thinking of picking up a pickup truck to keep around for snow and errands.

Ye I wouldn't be able to get used to it either just not being able to go out in thr snow DRIVES me crazy :D

I've gotten used to not having a car. Having changed jobs for one in the town I live in helps (20 mins on a bike). We used to run 2 cars... I have no idea how though... we couldn't afford to run one, let alone 2 any more!!

We have one car the wife needs to get to events and work, but I'm solely on public transit. While DC is pretty good with the bus system and subway system, there's still quite a few holes.
I'll sometimes wait 30-40 min for a bus to get home after a long day at work. If I drove, it'd be under 20. But it certainly is helpful on nights we go out and imbibe and don't have to worry about driving.
