I was looking to see if anyone knew the pros and cons between the sti and evo

Car & Driver did a fairly good comparison HERE.

I'd take the EVO over the STI, but I've had a lot of luck with Mitsubishi's and have a good relationship with the local dealer.

I don't know too much about the STI but the EVO hasn't really changed that much. I don't know that 60 miles should be a problem since they are so much fun to drive. ;)

My wife drives a Lancer Sportback. While it is no EVO performance wise, it's a heck of a lot of fun to drive and the EVO is built on the same chassis. My only complaint is that it can be a little noisy in the passenger compartment.

Pearson learning. Anyone hear of it? I just paid top dollar for my soc book because they didn't have he edition I needed. But still top dollar for the best in online books.

yup, i heard of it. isn't it downloadable somewhere? i normally don't recommend piracy, but textbooks are just plain rip-offs to me. :/

Yeh I know Pearson Learning. They produce many of the non-Beijing English textbooks we use. And we pay top dollar, or rather top yuan for them. But then they are good books, far better than People's Education Press. :rolleyes:

same here. if we need the whole book, sometimes we just buy, or photocopy separate portions at a time xD;;

i'm just so annoyed that they keep making "new" editions of the same textbooks. the only thing different are the chapter numbers and the examples!

I could but Pearson also has other things in the online book that you cant get through piracy.

They are good. But the App they make kinda sucks.
we photocopy XD;;
haha

I am now completely broke after buying this book for $105.00 I have $15.00 to my name....

You'll get used to it. College just means more papers to do :P

mind if i ask what you're majoring in?

Computer engineering, more specifically of what I want to do is Microprocessor Engineering. I would love to work for AMD, Intel, Samsung (Fanboi) or any of the ARM chip makers.

Oh, good luck! That is going to be a ton of work, but worth it in the end for the survivors :)

Yeah, lots of Math, and physics classes. But I can handle it. School provides a lot of services for help.

But What is annoying me now is I'm having writers block. I have to write an essay an something I remember, but the thing is I can't remember anything special that is worth sharing.

This has to be 5 pages. I may be able to write about my first computer build OMG thats it.
Thank you wyndslash.

The K-12 system is awful. I like the College system much better. However, I'm a bit overwhelmed by all this work that needs to get done. I'm literally putting in 8-10 hours a day for school.

Try 13 hours a day, 6 days a week for school. School day starts at 6am, and finishes 9.30pm. I posted our timetable to AF a while back somewhere.
