I got to meditate because I've been in both sides. Marine, roughneck, truck driver, and now engineer.

Trades will always be around. But you shouldn't go into huge amounts of debt to get an education. It makes no sense to goto school, rack up $90,000 in debt, and only find a job paying $38,000/yr.
