I would much rather have a wife who will stand up to me. If I'm being a jerk it would be nice to know.
 
My dad told me I should have been a lawyer:D I am polite, of course, but it really makes me sick to be submissive to someone who thinks I should be just because he's my husband and not because he's earned my respect.

I worked with a guy who swore that he was going to get, "one of them there foreigners for a wife because how smart can they be? They'll be so happy to be here they'll stay in line" I never corrected him because I wanted to see some Russian bride own him

but sadly to an extent that is true. But he should remember that in my country, family ties are still strong.

Well, there are a lot of those couples here. I used to teach part time and a student of mine had a fiance who is a senior citizen. She's 21 lol.
