Help Theme without crop?

Im curious if you can change your picture theme on the contact background without cropping. When i pick the gallery option and select pic it always tells me to crop and i cant set the picture in my contact background where the text messages are without cropping. I want to put all of the picture in the text message background without cropping if possible? I am not sure why cropping always comes up when i try to change the background pic/theme in the text message contact. Any way around that?

The strange thing is that i did lots of different sizes and it still ask to crop. Large, medium and small size pics. Have you tried that option on the phone yet? Curious cause hands on is better explained my situation. If not, try it on your G2 to see what i mean. On text message to your friend or family, tap the bottom right button that has 3 lines, then tap change theme, gallery button, then what comes up it says complete this action using Gallery or Photos. Pick one of those, and it brings up the pics that you saved on phone. Tap the picture you want and then it ALWAYS says complete this action using crop photo or crop picture and so forth. Thats what im trying to work around. No matter what size pic i do it always says to crop and cuts the picture i want in half. Its annoying and curious if there is another way around that. Cause i want full picture.
