Currency I am avoiding Themes like the plague because when used they disable ability to change background color of folders on the Homescreen. Does anyone know if a solution has been found?

How about a patch to fix it?

I should have also indentified that I'm on S8+ running latest update to Pie (V9).

Why use the stock theme when you can install a different launcher from the play store, such as Nova launcher, which allows you anything you want
