Root Theming breaks notification?

So I started creating a theme last night, upon testing I noticed I wasn't receiving popups on the screen from texts. They show up on the status bar, but they don't popup on the screen. The settings in messaging app has a check in the box for notification popup but it's not working. Does theming systemui or framework break this?

have you tried changing lg-ui in /system/framework??
Im not into this stuff but that might be interupting your theming

The problem is in the bloat removal script. Still trying to trace it.
