There be blizzard comming

Anyone watch Mayor Menino's press conference? The lady doing sign language had me in tears.

Got milk (a grocery store in the area).

Looks like the produce section of my grocery store, it was empty. I had to get lettuce/greens for my tortoise and the pickin's were slim. I can understand "panic shopping" for milk and bread (sort of) but to wipe out the produce section? People, they will plow the roads, we are NOT going to be stuck for days on end here.

actually, it's starting to look like a regular everyday snowfall around here. cancelled school (again) for no reason (again). LOL My kids are happy.

That's from a local new station. I can say I went last night for a couple of staples (spelled beer) and there was nothing left but the $7.00 bread. What kind of bread costs $7, really.

A 4# loaf of Poillane bread shipped from Paris overnight is $50. :D
(and worth every penny ;). Wife got me one for Christmas a few years ago)

I once bought a very expensive native bread from an outstanding looking young lady at Old Town Albuquerque. The bread was actually terrible... just terrible. I think I must have been paying extra for the buying experience

OK.. I need to hear some snow totals... Who is the most buried?

Any pics to share?

I sure feel sorry for everyone effected. I hope you have remained safe and aren't in the numbers of without power.

We're here, up and running. we actually got less than expected. probably around 8 inches total but it's hard to tell because of the snow drifts. 1.5 feet in some areas, almost none in others!

Its not as bad as 10 feet of water ;-)

I'm about 75% dug out. I have to get to the propane tanks and the cellar door, dige out the front door and my car, and one corner of the driveway left. I think we ended up with somewhere between 30-35 inches, but it is hard to tell with the drifting.
