Does anyone know what app these icons belong too, a dating app, game... ? I have posted the pictures below/attached.

The problem with questions like this is that these icons are so generic. There are dozens or hundreds of apps with icons very similar to this, so unless you are lucky and someone has exactly the same app on their phone the chances of getting a definite answer are slim. You would be surprised how many of these queries we get, and we have to disappoint most.

In this case I think I can help with the second one: that looks like Signal. This describes itself as a "private messaging app", but that's not as sinister as it might sound to you: it just means that it uses end-to-end encryption (so the company itself, or any other third party, cannot look at the content of the messages you send). It's basically like WhatsApp except not owned by Facebook. Of course like any message app it could be used for something clandestine, but that is also true of any message app including ordinary SMS or email.

The first I've no idea. The problem is that heart icons are used for many things: dating apps, yes, but also fitness apps, or even in some apps to indicate that someone has "liked" something you have posted.

it also does not have to be just an app notification. websites, if you grant them permission to send you notifications, can also use icons similar to what you have.....so that adds many more icons that they could represent.

we get this question daily, it is really hard to help majority of the time, because there just way too many things that they could be.

the easiest way is to just look on the phone, but then that would be sneaky and going behind someone's back which is not good for the relationship. or you can just be open and ask....but that is not for me tell you how to do that. i am definitely not a relationship expert.

.....good luck
