Help These Lockscreen Notifications

DrVadgers

Lurker
Hi everyone,

I've searched this forum and google and I cannot find how to get these particular tiny notifications on my lock screen. Is this some previous version of Android or perhaps a phone exclusive?

If not, does anyone know the application or setting to get these?

Any help would be much appreciated :D

i believe its a widget called dashclock by roman nurik. available from playstore. if you do not use a secured pin lock for the phone it looks like the image you posted.

If you're running KitKat, which I assume you are given the forum you are in, you also need to go to Settings --> Security --> Enable Widgets.

Hi, this is my first post in this site. My question is related to adding more widgets to the lockscreen, apparently is not possible in my N5 (stock android 4.4.4, no root) to add more widgets other than a few of them from Google (calendar, digital clock, email, gmail, Keep, G now, hangouts, G+), twitter & whatsapp, I have not been able to add widgets from third party apps (like soundhound or fancy widgets) because they don not show up when pressing the + sign on the lockscreen. I have searched in other forums and found only the posts related to the normal activation of widgets in the lockscreen.
Any help will be much appreciated.
thanks in advance.

PD, Sorry for the duplicate post but I got an error message at the time of posting and ended up with a duplicate entry.

Hi there and welcome to the forums!

In order for an app to have a lock screen widget, they have to design and set up their widget specifically to work as a lock screen widget. For whatever reason, a lot of apps don't do that with their widgets.

Thanks for the reply, I guessed something like that, but got confused because apps like soundhound apparently had widget lockscreen support since jelly bean but maybe not yet for kit kat.
Anyway, I installed Dashclock in my N5 and will give a try.
Best regards.
RGC.
