Theseus and the Minotaur feedback

beerdroid

Lurker
I made a game based on a popular logic maze by Robert Abbott called Theseus and the Minotaur. I tried to make the UI just right but I'm stumped as to what I can do to improve it further.

One guy requested sound, which was never really high on my priorities since it's a thinking puzzle game, any other suggestions?

Is it too complicated to learn the mechanics?
I've been considering an even easier tutorial.

Any comments are welcome, thanks.

Or just search for "theseus" in android market.

$4 though? That's almost up there with Gameloft's prices  I know Android is a tougher sell right now, but even Rovio is pricing Angry Birds at $1-2. It's your game... just throwing out my $.02!

I saw the pay version of some popular game was priced similarly and thought they knew what they were doing. Didn't do a whole lot of research though.
Anyway, there is the free version which will keep you occupied for a while.

I myself wouldn't care much for what a game costs if I liked the trial as long as it's < $5, or maybe I'm too careless with cash :) I also kind of figured that the game wouldn't be that interesting for the youngest audience either.

You've come up with an interesting concept and executed it pretty well. I guess I just suck at the game because I'm stuck on an early level. That being said, I'm not fond of it. I don't feel compelled to keep retrying the level. I'm certain there's a market for it but I'm not part of it.

Thanks for the replies.
I'll just start adding some sound and see if it enhances the experience.

Hints would probably be good for players who have a hard time getting into the game.
Though having the possibility to use hints all the time is probably a bit too tempting so they can ruin the game as well.
