Hey I dropped my captivate into a puddle of water and now the only thing that doesnt work is the headphonejack. I love listening to my own music through my headphones but now it doesnt work.

Is there a possibility that it can be fixed? I dont care if I have to pay to fix it but the issue is can ti be fixed at this point?

How long ago?

The only things I can suggest are take out battery, SIM, SD card, etc and put the phone upside down in a bowl of rice overnight, or go to Wal-Mart, get a can of compressed air, and blow it out.

You could always get Bluetooth headphones. Since the headphone jack is the only thing not working, use Bluetooth headphones and bypass the headphone jack.

Hey guys my phone used to conect to ps.. but after a little water spill everything else is working but now when i connect to pc... it says its not recognizing it .. is there any way i can fix this? like the usb works cause it charges my device?

If you're using your Captivate immediately after the spill - stop.

Give it time to dry out inside and all may be well. Electronics are often bathed in water during manufacturing, that alone isn't an issue.

If you're trying to use something still damp - then you could be shorting things and damaging something that might otherwise have been fine.

Describe the time since spill to your use.

Do NOT take to it with a hair dryer - that will force water into places that'll be harder to dry inside.

Purchase a Bluetooth USB dongle, you can get good ones for $15, install it in a USB port on you computer, install the drivers, make your Bluetooth device on your computer discoverable, search for Bluetooth devices using your phone, pair with your computer, set up Kies to connect to your phone when connected via Bluetooth, etc.

Compressed air.. No!!!!!
Rice is a good suggestion.
Let sit and dry - as in 2 or 3 days (not hours)
