Help Things to do before factory reset

My less than year old note 2 keep on freezing from time to time. My quick remedy is to remove the battery for an easy reboot.

Im considering now a factory reset. Do you have any suggestion before resorting to a reset and or if im going to do it, what are the things i need to do first?

I'm in the same scenario as you, I'm trying to avoid a full reset as I don't want to have to reconfigure all my widgets(I have a lot of truly customized ones). Samsung's last update has brought this problem on a lot of people's Note 2s and seems to be taking its time addressing it.

My only concern is the problem coming right back once I take the updates again.

Regularly clear the cache. watch your apps, especially games. My son has an S3 that was freezing and resetting. I installed a cache monitoring application and deleted 2 games: cured.
