Thinkin about the Vega

I am thinking about getting this but have a couple of questions.

Is this likely to be updated to either android 2.3 or 3.0 in the near future?

And does it have GPS installed? I am looking for a tablet to use marine maps with so need GPS.

Any advice would be appreciated.
