Thinking about leaving for t-mobile prepaid, advice?

Do it, I've got a 16gb nexus 4 on the $30 online plan... best decision thatll pay itself off in the long run

I'd love to hear your review of the phone, once you've had a chance to use it and check out the battery life.

So, after roughly a week and letting the battery stats settle in, I get decent battery life. The screenshot is from moderate to heavy use - couple videos, couple phone calls, tons of web browsing.

Performance is outstanding. I experience little to no lag. On rare occasion do I experience a little hiccup. Android 4.2 is very pleasant in day to day usage. I have absolutely no desire to root or mod, which feels a bit odd considering I was a heavy modder on my past 2 phones (Moto Triumph & Evo V 4G), but I've got to say, it's quite refreshing. I think I needed a break from all of that. It feels nice using a phone that runs exactly how I want it to straight out of the box.

If you have good coverage for T-Mobile or AT&T, I think it's a huge step up from any Virgin Mobile phone, as well as the service. 3-4mb down on poor coverage, 15mb+ on good coverage on HSPA+ 42.

My only gripe I thought I was going to have was memory and battery but I manage easily with the 16gb variant and some cloud storage (DropBox, Google Drive and 50gb from Box.com). Most of my memory usage on my past devices came from storing ROMs and nandroid backups. The battery charges pretty quick, so if you don't mind carrying a charger, it's no problem. The only issue I have sometimes is the screen sensitivity because the digitizer is fused with the glass. That's no biggie tho.

Hope this helps.

I pressed the capacitive buttons accidentally on the Evo 3D a lot more than I have with the nexus so far. I would accidentally press a button a handful of times per day on the Evo and I've accidentally pressed an on-screen button a handful of times since I've had the phone.

I don't like how the buttons are part of the screen ;____;

Add me to the people that like that capacitive buttons. I really didn't think I would like it, I always tried to buy phones with physical buttons. After using my Nexus, though, I've really gotten to like the on screen buttons, at least in part because my buttons are always on the bottom of the screen -- regardless of if the screen is landscape, portrait, or upside down.

And as someone else mentioned, you don't accidentally press them as frequently.
