Is there an app entirely dedicated to finding the nearest pub to your current location?

I say 'pub' rather than 'bar' because I'm principally looking at apps with a decent UK database. I have Places Directory but it's not very good for pubs, seems better for restaurants and such like. What the world really needs is beerintheevening.com in Android app form, but that doesn't seem to exist.

BeerWhere is the other one I've tried, but it can't be any good since it can't find the nearest three pubs to where I live (and I live in London, not in the middle of nowhere).

Any other suggestions?
 
Using the 'pubsgalore' layer in Layar does seem to come up with the locals near here, but I have to wave to phone around and it will tell me what's in the direction I'm facing, whereas all I want is a list of the nearest pubs to my current location. Layar is impressive but to much for what I want - if I'm in the middle of Soho I don't want to be rotating on a street corner looking at the phone to find the nearest boozer, I want a list or a map...

Thanks for the suggestions so far - anyone else?

Why would you need an app? I thought there was a PUB on every corner anyway.
 
Does the Yell app not do this? Not had it in my phone for a wee while now but from memory you can filter for businesses and as a UK app, I would expect pubs to be in there!

Have you realised that Layar has different views and not just the pointy wavey AR view? You can have both a list or a map of pubs around you using it. The screenshots are from an iPhone but I get the same on my SGS.

I use FourSquare for this kind of thing, you can browse by type of business including Pub (it's an Aussie term too). FS seems to have a large user base and may be your most comprehensive database of Pubs for the UK.
