Have you tried the stock camera's multi-shot mode?

That's a good idea. Haven't tried it on this phone though. Used it a couple times on my old Droid X. What I like best about fast burst is the setting where it takes one quick pic per tap.

Are you talking about a 3rd party app or the stock camera, can't figure out what youre talking about. Is fast burst a setting on an app or the stock camera, cause I don't find it on my stock. Though I'm still using ICS not JB.

Again...is this a 3rd party app or part of the stock camera? If it is a 3rd party app, please share what the app is and how to get it. Thanks.

I think the camera takes ok pics. Not great, not bad. Just ok.

Looking at the pic details on my laptop, i noticed that the pic sharpness setting is set to low. Not sure why moto would have the sharpness set to low, but they do. Are there any phone apps or computer programs that are fast and easy to use when it comes to just increasing sharpness? I know something like photo shop is out there, but i dont wanna pay that much to just simply sharpen pics.

Just have to play with the settings. Is this camera great? No, but it's decent. The first pic I took was in very low light, auto settings, no flash. The second pic was the same low light, on HDR, and no flash. Big difference.

I just joint this forum (but an old member on another one), and I agree on the poor camera quality of the Razr HD.
I got the XT925 model from Canadian Rogers, with bootloader unlocked & rooted.
I installed the Nexus 4 apk camera app on my phone and there is an improvement on the picture quality (not much, but a visible one)

What good is a camera if you don't have enough battery life to do anything with it? I know we all want the *BEST* of everything, but for me, this phone's battery life, great display, function, form etc. is FANTASTIC. Could the camera be better? I'm sure it can. But I bought phone...not a camera. I have my Canon DSRL and Olympus micro 4/3rds to use as a camera.

For me, the camera is more than good enough......especially considering that it's a phone/txt/app/game/trip-organizer.

Today's smartphone lost theirs true purpose as a phone only. Now when you purchase a phone you want a full multimedia package to be there, including a reasonable quality camera. And it's not much to ask from Motorola especially since good quality phone cameras are already mass produced by companies such as Google (LG), Samsung, Sony...etc.
The technology to manufacture a good camera phone is out there, however, Motorola's choice to give us, the consumer, a lousy below par camera in the Razr HD is ludicrous.
It's not acceptable (in my mind) to say that everything in the phone work properly, accept the camera..?

I bet those of you who think this camera is great...don't have kids!!! Even I can take spectacular stills with this phone. Try to get the pic you want or "the moment" with this camera and you're just SOL. It is the camera and not the operator too. I had two bberrys before this phone and they both took higher quality action/moment photos than this camera, although the rmhd cam is far superior on stills. If the rmhd cam has time to focus and adjust before the shot, pic quality is as good as it gets for any phone IMO.

Agreed!!! I have a 6 month old and whipping a camera of phone out when hes doing something funny or cute, he instantly stops. So i needed somethign WAYYYY quicker then the stock camera. I downloaded the Fast burst and hopefully that helps. Havent tried it on him yet, but so far it takes pics pretty quick.

More about Razr HD camera...
A short while back I had 6 cameras apps on my Razr HD !
Now, I got only 4...
- 2 are apk files (my phone is rooted & bootloader unlocked): the Nexus 4 android 4.2 version & a customized miui camera.
- 2 are from the Google store: Snap camera & Camera ZOOM FX.
Out of the 4, I will possible keep the Snap & the 4.2 Camera.
The two are a much improved cameras quality over the stock one.

You cannot compare a multi purpose device with a stand alone camera (I know you didn't, but it seems like others want DSLR like quality) . I have zero issues with my RMHD camera. Works just fine for me. But when compared to my DSLR, it's not as good. But I wouldn't expect it to be as good as my DSLR. To *me*, it's no different than any other smartphone's camera. I understand others are having issues, but to date, I've had no issues. Samsung camera is a bit faster, but RHMD (again, to me) is fast enough. I would gladly take this camera if it meant giving up battery life so the phone can house a better camera. I'm not saying that's the case, I'm just just to me, phone, internet, battery life is much higher priority than a camera.

Alright, well that failed miserably :D Here are those pics that didn't show up before, along with some newer ones. It's a decent camera once you figure out how to use it. Not great, but decent. Is it good in low light? Not particularly, but how many phone cameras are good in low light honestly?

Sorry if anyone's screens go crazy. I left these at full res so you guys could really inspect them. They resize quickly on my laptop :)

I've been playing around this morning with Windows Live Photo Gallery. It has a sharpen tool to edit pics. If you add just a little bit of sharpness, it definitely helps with the slight fuzzyness that the RMHD's pics can have at times. I recommend it to everyone (or photoshop or some other similar program).
