Looks like you need to change the desktop grid.

I use 5 x 6.

This, or it's possible that the desktop grid is set differently from the TouchWiz standard already, so it's re-sizing the widget accordingly, which means the re-sizing the widget should be a solution.

doesnt rezise... going any smaller it cuts off the numbers.

Did you try re-sizing to make it bigger?

-edit-
This is the simplest explanation I can give. Let's say, for example, that the standard grid is 4X4 (4 columns, 4 rows) and you use a clock widget that is set up for 4X4. When you use a launcher like NOVA, that can expand to 7X7 (or others that can go even higher), that's where you have to think about it more in terms of how the extra 3 rows/columns would fit in conjunction with a 4X4 grid.
So, if you originally set up a 1X2 widget (1 row / 2 columns) on a 4X4 grid, you'd have to re-size the widget, so that it could accomodate the extra 3 squares based on the new grid you have set up. If you went with a 6X6 grid on NOVA, then you'd have to re-size the widget to be 1X3.

Hope that makes sense.

Is it a TW widget? If so, you will need to look at something else. Even on the original Note, it would give issues. No way to resize it or make it 'fit'. It will cut something out or not look right. No matter what you do, nothing works. It's as if Samsung didn't want it to work on anything else but TW.

Ok I even increased it to the max and this is what it looks like... I tried removing and adding back...same thing... what am I doing wrong?

I think it is.... but it works fine on tw..... so I dunno.... so annoying there is no other stock widget with time and date....

I see quite a few widgets missing with nova

Lots of fantastic clock widget apps out there to use that are actually better than TouchWiz stock widgets.

I have Nova and I don't have this date and time widget available so I don't think this is stock. Anyhow, I would suggest removing the widget temporarily and then change the column settings down to four or five. Re-add your widget but resize your widget smaller width wise than what you really need then change the # of columns back to what you want then see what you get. You may need to resize the widget one last time to your final liking. I have noticed before if you add a widget before changing column or row settings you may sometimes get what you are experiencing.

Its a stock TW on some versions of the Note 2. I had the same problem with it on Nova to start with. I changed the grid layout to 5

I have make you own clock app, you can customise just about anything on it including the size. Might be worth a try.

after trying to resize column sizes and fonts... nothing has worked... so i gave up and downloaded an Easy Clock Widget Lite... it will have to do....

i guess, just like some of you said Samsung did not want me to use their stock widgets on other launchers... kinda annoying, since i like the stock clock better, but whatever at least i got one that shows time now .... with my funky font and all.

thanks for the responses guys... again, boggles me that certain phones have certain widgets that other phones dont... ridiculous lol
