In the real world, what difference will the extra 1gb of ram of the S3 make compared to the one x?
 
In theory, you could have more running apps open at the same time, making multi-tasking / task switching faster. The One X isn't particularly good at that unfortunately, but it seems it has to do more with the way it was implemented (aggressive closing of idle apps) rather than with a lack of RAM. 1GB should be enough if managed well.
 
From what I can gather dibs our tegra 3 model One X is far better at the multitasking than our american cousins version.

I can't see how it would make much difference to be honest as I've never ran out of memory plus our version of the S3 only has 1gb, I'm not sure if it is an international version you've been looking at unless there's 2gb in the new 4G one

I've looking to upgrade shortly and it's down to the S3 or the new One X+. Someone on another forum mentioned the 2gb of Ram on the S3.

The fact that there appear to be issues with syncing your Google calendar with the S3 (something I do alot) Would appear to mean the OneX+ is the winner!

Now it's just the damn wait!

it's 2gb of ram on 4g version of Samsung Galaxy S3 with dual-core processor. on international it's 1GB of ram and quad-core processor
 
and international version of htc One X (quad-core processor) has no problems at all with multi-tasking. it's the at&t US version with dual-core processor has some issues with it

You'll be getting an immense phone, there wont be a better phone on the market although I question why they're bringing it out as the One X is no slouch. You will get slight improvements on everything, better processor, battery, camera, beats and obviously the latest OS. There's nothing in it to justify me going out and getting one as they are only slight improvements but I do really like the new matt black with red colour... enjoy when you get it!
