This file can harm my mobile device?

Im trying to download flash player onto my lg optimus l9 on chrome and I got the file directly from Adobe's website. But when I clicked on it it said that the file can harm my mobile device. I was just wondering what kind of harm might happen. If it would be a good idea to just install anyway. Also its an apk file.

Google Chrome pulls the same annoyance with my Nexus 10. Reminds me of the same 'protect the user from themselves' stuff Internet Explorer did and I replaced it with a less annoying browser. I may do away with Chrome just for reminding me of IE.

Hello,

I am getting - "This type of file can harm your device.". "Do you want to keep com.yahoo.mobile.client.android.mail_v5.14.5-1319850_android-4.4.apk anyway? This is on Barnes and Noble HD Plus tablet. What would happen, if I continue?
